2007 R18 Clicking relay no start
2007 R18 Clicking relay no start
I have a 2007 Civic that I just installed a used engine into due to a cracked block in the original. After the car has sat for a few hours, I hear a relay in the engine bay clicking with the key turned to the ON position, and the engine will crank but not start. If I merely plug in an OBDII scanner, that stops the clicking. If I cycle the key OFF and then try a start, the engine will start and run fine every time. I have replaced the relays in the engine bay panel but the symptom persists. The scanner shows no codes or MIL indications. Could this be some sort of immobilizer issue because of the "new" engine, or something else? Any suggestions welcome.

Missing ground, that one is located on the end of the head......Either the bolt is missing, it's loose, or you put in the wrong bolt.

I poked around a bit and discovered that the ground bolt was missing. I installed a replacement, and all appears to be well. Thank you so much!
