Question about my setup with flashpro

So I have an 08 si, with ktuned header, test pipe and catback. As well as a 3.5in. Ktuned SRI. What would be the best basemap to use from my flashpro? Right now I'm using "aem cai, race header, highflow cat, stock catback" I wish it had an option for my parts

Re: Question about my setup with flashpro

You probably dont need a tune at all because those are bolt-on modifications.

Meaning that the extra air flow is within the self tuning range of the OEM ecu, already.

Re: Question about my setup with flashpro

If I were you, I'd pay money to get it on a reputable local tuner's dyno and have them tune it. Bonus is you'll get the actual numbers you're putting down

back in the day (like 14 years ago) dyno tuning costs were just about $150 for the first hour and $100 for every hour after that. Dunno if that price has changed in the last 14 years tho. Also, expect it to take a few hours.

Re: Question about my setup with flashpro

Yeah, we have a really good tuning shop here in sioux falls with an awd dynojet. Excessive autosport. They quoted me like a lil over 500 for a full dyno tuning session, or 150 an hr if its takes a less amount of time to finish

Re: Question about my setup with flashpro

If you unplugged the battery or they're new mods then It will take a few runs before the ecu learns the top end A/F ratio and riches the trim, from stock.

also in order to see the A/F ratio you must be accelerating. Once you back off the gas it will show leaner numbers.

so if you see some lean numbers on a data chart, that's normal.

Re: Question about my setup with flashpro

Hey guys, so turns out I just needed to be tuned! I went with etunez and got my first map revision and dang, my car runs so much better already, shes a totally different animal! When it's all said and done I'm gonna put her on a dyno and see what she puts down, and I'll post it up here!

Re: Question about my setup with flashpro

lol, about damn time

j/k. Glad to hear you got it settled. Makes me think that it was, in fact, a MAF housing size thing, and the tune fixed it for your specific setup

edit: they didn't tell you what the numbers were when they tuned it? Or was it purely a "by the numbers" tune and not a dyno tune?

Re: Question about my setup with flashpro

I'm surprised u hadn't heard about these guys. Www.e-tunez.com amazing reviews. Only 219 bucks for a quality tune. It is not however a dyno tune. You send him datalogs and he reviews them and sets ya up with a basemap based on ur parts, location, elevation, fuel, and what u want out of the tune. Then u have up to 7 revisions to use until the tune is perfect. If it's not perfected by 7, u get free revisions after till it is. You send him new datalogs after each revision so he can fine tune ur tune.
