Clean too much?

I have been washing my car about 2 times a week because the weather is so crappy here in Iowa and my car is always dirty. Is this bad for the paint or anything, will it fade or wear faster because I am washing it too much? I wax about once every one or two months also.

You should be fine, I usually do mine 4-5 times a week I hate it when the black gets dirty, it looks like $h!+. Just keep it waxed and it will be okay.

You will have no problem....I have been doing the same for many years...Just make sure you have a good coat of wax on the paint. I say wax every two weeks.

Just make sure you wash your mitt/towels every time too. You'll get swirlies if you don't throw them in the washing machine in between car washes.

Instead of washing the car so often, consider doing a daily quick-detail routine, using something like Eagle One's Wet Wipe N Shine or Meguiar's Quick Detail. It's faster, will lengthen the longevity of your wax, will scratch your paint less, and actually improves the shine each time you do it.

The weather is crappy in OH too, so I am constantly washing my car.. my front bumper gets the worse with all the bugs, so sometimes I'll just wash that.. When you wash your car, use two buckets, one for the soap then one for the rinse water. wash top to bottom.. when your done going overpart of your car but the mit in the rinse bucket that will help keep the stones and dirt out of the soap water and it won't get back on to your car..
