Washed car with Green Pad No I got Scratches

I have a freind that washed thier car with a sponge that had a scowering pad on the other side of it. ( I SWEAR THAT IT WASN"T ME). After she was done the pad had left little scratch makes on the car where she had used it to get crap off her car. It is a 2k1 2dr V6 Accord Sivler. Now you really can't tell from a far away but the close you get to the car the more you can notice that spots where she used it. Got the car waxed after words but the scratches are still there. Now she wants to get the car repainted. It doesn't look that bad unless you are awar of where they are but she hates it. Is there anything that can be done besides spending the money to get it painted.

Its my fiance and best freind. I have known her for 10 years and we are getting married on April 5th in Key West. It is kinda embarrassing nowing she did that though. Sorry if I miss lead you.

But I really dont what to spend money on getting a paint job when the money can go to her body kit and I/H/E and rims.

...take it to a detail shop and show them(don't tell them what you did, i mean, what she did) ask them what they would charge to 'fix' it...

Why not try using a good wax and buff it out... just don't over do it where you end up buffing out the paint.

Hey I wouldn't mind having her car but I have a 2k1 LX and her Accord Is really nice. I swear it wasn't me though. I tried to wax it and buff them out but it didn't work. I will try that Meguires stuff and see it that works.

It would be totally dependent on just how much "scrubbing" done, but that green stuff is scotchbrite. I would go and get some buffing compound and a rotary buffer and try to polish them out. If they aren't very deep, it should take care of most, if not all of them. Maybe have a detail shop try it. Then just wax the s**t out of it and hope they go away. Scotchbrite is pretty abrasive, but it doesn't take off much material at once.... so it you didn't scrub for too long, you might just have surface scratches and they'll come out.

It was stupid... but this sounds like it's fixable.

You need to go to a reputable detail shop and have them buff the whole car. I wouldn't try to do it yourself as you could make it worse. A pro should be able to get most of the scratchs out. If they are all in the clear coat than it should look close to new again. Again, this absolutely needs to be done by a pro and a good one.

honda's have thick clear coats above the paint so it still can be fixed. well i don't know w/ American Honda on how they do the paint.
But as for your prob, i use 3M products. 4 different rubbing compunds (polishing, deep cut, light cut, cleaner etc.) hand polished so you can gauge the difference in the surface.
If you don't like stuff like these (caused me muscle pains in the back and arms) leave it to the pro detailers.

wow that sucks. but i wont laugh cause i did something like that myself when i was 18.
i bought a white car, it was dirty so i dumped comet all over the car and scrubbed every panel with the comet powder, and a little water.
needless to say, the clear coat was completely gone by the time i was done. but man was it white!!!

Buff it. That's how body shops remove minor scratches.

Just buy her an industrial sized sponge (a huge sponge, that's only a sponge and is plain). Little bits of the rough side may have made it's way off or through the sponge and caused damamge to the car.

I would say bring it to a detailing shop and ask their opinion. Im not sure if regular buffing with compound will remove the scratches. The car may need to be wet sanded and then buffed out with compound. It is a big job and a profeesional needs to do it....Be ready to pay alot of money. I have a question...Did she wash the windows too??
