I know not very many of you are rollin on chrome as I am, but there has got to be a few of you. I'm wanna know whats the best cleaner for your chrome rims? I've used alot of stuff but nothing really gets clean until I get down and scrub them clean with a towel and some cleaner. I'm looking for something that will shine em up and all I have to do is wipe em down............BLING.BLING

Rep Power: 424 you could use the meguire's stuff and then you'll be nice and clean with minimal effort...i've also heard to use just water...not too such though since i've always had either polished or painted rims
guess i don't really have an answer for you so why am i replying........

Rep Power: 0 Holy frickin' ****!!! Someone else with chrome!!! If your rims are really dirty scrub them down with soap and water first (or a cleaner like Meguairs hot rims) and then use a chrome polish, next put a nice coat of wax on them and that usually lasts for a little while. If you wash a couple times a week it helps alot too.

666 is right. Use Car Soap and warm water to clean them...I wouldnt use any brushes on your rims though...I would use a rag or a sponge, but not the sponge you wash your car with. I would then spray Meguires, Mothers, or Eagle one wheel cleaner on the rims...Make sure the rims are cool and make sure the wheel cleaner is chrome compatible. Then I would go over the rims with the sponge, and hose them off. After you are finished washing the car, you can wipe the wheels dry with a seperate towel, from the one you wipe your car down with. Then I would apply a good coat of Carnuba Wax to the rims. Some People would say to use Chrome Polish instead of wax but I dont believe you get the same protective coating that you do with wax. The wax will also last longer than the chrome polish will.

Rep Power: 0 Wax on the chrome???? Huh never went that route. Guess I"ll try it. Sounds like it should make the job a little easier each time, since I wash my car 2-3 times a week and also keep that shine a while longer. thanx
