I polished my car with this stuff called 'nu-finish' I guess it's not really a wax, smells like a petroleum based product. Anyways, washed my car yesterday and the bugs just washed off. It was awsome. The water beaded off nicely too. Quite impressed

Rep Power: 0 Yep, it's great stuff. It may not shine quite as much as meg's gold or something but it will last for a long time. Just did my wife's car with it (cuz I am only waxing mine once a month....ssshhhh). Great product though.

Rep Power: 0 do not use nu-finish! it wrecked the roof of my old 1992 BLACK civic. i think it was the result of mixing with the hot sun. I applied the stuff in the evening and buffed it off. a few weeks later i had all these swirl like marks and faded paint.
btw, this was after 4 months of getting my car painted.

Rep Power: 0 Nu-Finish is an excellent product. It last forever. I'm about to put a couple coats on mine and my wife's for the winter. I don't know if it last a year but it will definately make it through the winter.

Rep Power: 0 if it lasts forever, how the heck is it bonding to the paint so well and for so long? i don't want to know, i'll stick to mcguires gold class.
sure put it on before the winter, because nu finish and the sun don't mix very well on paint.

Rep Power: 0 I used to use it on a red integra all year round and never had any problems. I have no idea what happened in your case.
Meg's gold only last a month a two. So, if you are going to use it, I don't know what you are going to do all winter.
That's what I have been using. Just polished and put a coat on 2 days ago. Will put the nu finish on at the end of the month.
