everyone that uses dish soap STOP.......dish soap contains harmfull sh*t that will eat ur paint. the best soap to use is baby shampo its 2$. it doesn't contain all the harmfull sh*t......and it cheaper than carwash soap crap that cost 5$ and it smells nice whats better for ur baby than baby shampo[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]
Actually, I disagree. You can use soap for a one time only purpose, to strip off all the wax. I guess Dawn thinks of wax as a type of grease. It won't eat your paint, but it till leave the car with absolutely no protection to the elements whatsover. So any damage that happens to your paint is a byproduct of using soap, but as a direct result. I just recently washed my car with Dawn for the first time to strip off the wax. I'd recommend it if you're changing to a different wax company, that way you won't interfere with the chemicals of other waxes.

I too use Meguiar's Gold class car shampoo. Think of it this way, when you wash dishes you want them to be free of food, oil, whatever may have been on there, the dish washing soap will take it off because it fights the grease, now if you use that dish soap on your car, like the other guys on here said, it'll eat the wax on it and leave you no protection. Use only what is recommended for your paint. It's your car and of course you want to take care of it to the best of your ability.
