I was washing my car today, and when I was done I realized that there are hard water spots on the windshield and on the hood, as well as on the trunk and rear window. My question is does any know how to get rid of these spots? I have tried cleaner for the windows and I don't even know where to begin for the paint! Please Help!!!

I think this post belongs in the DETAILING section.
But if it helps. try to get a Window cleaner that's real heavy duty. One that you can buy at Home Depot or somethin. And as far as the paint goes? Wash it again, use better soap. Then wax it.

I had the same problems in the past. I can you nothing for cars is going to work for the windows, never did for me. What I ended up using was the stuff they advertise on tv called CLR for removing mineral desposits. It worked very well.

When I used to work at a detail shop we had a lot of cars come in complaining of hard water spots they wanted us to wax out, but sometimes it wasn't from hard water, but from acid rain, or water dripping from pine trees... and that burns through the clear coat. Just so you know to keep you car good and waxed

Alright here is what you do...

Windows: Cover your windows in your normal glass cleaner. Take a piece of steel wool and go over the windows lightly. Just wipe them down, no scrubbing. I know its scary but it wont scatch the glass. Then just wipe off the glass cleaner and you should be seein clear again.

Paint: Go down to your local body shop and ask them to order the clay bar system for you. Sometimes they will have it at Autozone but mine didnt. All the clay bar system is, is a piece or 2 of clay and spray on lubricant. Anyone can use it. All you do is spray the lubricant on the paint, take the clay bar and wipe gently over the paint like you were dusting it off. Just wipe off the lube and your car should be as smooth as a babies @$$.
