Yes windex can strip the wax. If there is no wax on the car then it will dull the paint. If you want to remove something from the paint without washing it then pick up a detailing spray from your local auto parts store.
Meguries, Mothers, and eagle one are just some examples of companies that make them.

u can also try a blow dryer, it will peel right off!!!!

Pretty much any adhesive contains alcohol and will take the wax off. Even glass cleaner. As long as you can wax it right away you dont have anything to worry about.

I use the meguiers quick detailing spray. Cleans pretty well. Smells good too.

Actually, some dealers will spray a new car down with windex and then send it through the wash. It makes the car shine like it was just waxed. I learned this from a friend that works for a dealership.
