Auto shift ****?

I was lookin through the galleries and saw a couple people that had made their auto's look like stick shifts. They had a boot around it and like a steel shift ****. I was wondering if anybody knew how to remove that, and how to go about making it look stick?

okay there are two screws towards the bottom of your shifter. remove them the lever should move right up. then remove the center console . there's a diy about it somewhere. bsically you remover the PRNDetc piece. then buy the manual boot from honda & a razo shift **** not sure what number & a spring to hold the boot up to the ****. but yeah..that's how you do it.

but me i just got a **** & skipped the boot part.

Alright thanks, i'll check it out. I think gunmetal looks a lot better. What were you saying earlier about needing a spring, is that for the boot?

yeah it holds the boot up to the **** so it doesn't fall down. but i didn't use the boot iwth this ****. it looks better without it. since it sits low in the stick.

i dont know about anyone else, but when i put on the thing that holds the shiftboot up (that one from honda), i couldnt get the key out of my car. the reason is because theres a plastice piece in the front under the shiftboot, and if you have a thing that holds up the shiftboot, its going to hit it...thus, it will not full engage in park. but that only happened to me, i dont know about anyone else.

Proly don't need the spring anyway

I don't think in this picture he is using the spring for the boot, and it looks alright.

It might be because the **** is so long, so there is much of a gap in between the boot and ****. I don't know...i'd like mine to look like that though.

well you gotta take the center console apart. then take tha black piece off. so that little piece is freee. then get some acetone & rub it all over the back of it. to get rid of the letters. it isn't blacked out completely cause when y lights are on it lights up red with the rest of my interior.
