? on tinting top part of rear windshield

What did you guys do for that part where the little circles and ruff part is? It just looks strange not having that as dark as the rest of the 20% tinted window. Just want some opinion. thanks

have a strip put across the top part over that... i heard from a tint shop that if you tint where the bubbles are its bad for the tint and it wont last as long

So you are saying to have them put that on on the outside of the window?

A good tint shop will have no problems tinting over the dot matrix.

you cant do much....when i had my 01 done, they scuffed them a lil with like a brillo pad to help the stickyness, but it still lookes like ****. that part at the top is part of the integrated radio antenna so i wouldnt recommend having it scuffed to much if some of you others plan on doin something like that

no matter what... it will look uneven (at least from the inside), do to the little dots. it's impossible to get the tint across/in every little single dot (if you look at it in an angle you can see it).

sorry jjj784, when i went to post a reply your post wasnt up there yet. I posted 1 minute after yours. So he spray painted the inside? To do this the glass needs to be taken off the car im guessing since the inside is painted... correct?

yea, he masked the inside and spray painted the inside. first tint (wait a week), then mask, then paint. very clean imo

my tint shop told me they were going to put a solid black strip up there because the tint would have a hard time sticking...i don't even see it in the rearview mirror so it doesn't even bother me...

the tint will stick, but it won't cover up every little dot. from an angle... you can see the un-evenness and it looks like

Im having a really awesome tint guy redo my car. I have whatever honda put on my car. it looks good just need a little darker. I dont understand what you are all talking about? I havent seen any civics tinted in the back like that. They can tint the whole window, why didnt you just do that? It was a crappy shop if they didnt. JMO
