Back windshield always has dirt film and thick smudges...

why does this happen? its hard to clean too...i usually use a towel with water and clean it but sometimes it still there even after i wiped it 10 thousand times. any tips on cleaning this? its on the inside thats for sure, because when i use my fingers to touch it i can see the film being scratched off but is really really hard to make it look like a clean window. I tried almost everything like newpaper and water, window cleaner, window wipes, still comes back and very hard to clean all the dirt film off. Any help would be appreciated...thanks

do you drive with your windows down a lot? i think that might be the reason. when you drive, the dust/dirt from outside gets stuck onto your rear windshield.

i used to drive with my windows up, and my rear windshield stayed clean, but ever since i started driving with them down. it got dirty

Yep, it happens to my front and rear windsheild all the time as well. Just get some cleaner and clean it every so often...sometimes you just gotta deal with it though. And if u can not stand it that much, just drive with the windows rolled up
