turbo - LX or EX (Si US) head and ECU???

I was wondering which would be better for turboing, because my LX doesn't have VTEC™, would it loose possible power? or would should I stick with the LX head and ECU?? Any help is appriciated. (I meant to say EX US and Canadain Si)

The VTEC on the EX's produces an extra 2hp vs. the LX. I estimate this based off of hp numbers betwean the LX, EX, and HX. That's not worth a head swap IMO. Forced Induction will not be affected greatly since the air is "forced" in by the turbo. The size of the intake and exhaust ports don't matter too much. Same with the cam profile. The air is forced in, so the path it takes does not need to be as optimal as a naturally aspirated engine. You'll get a little more power, sure. Not enough to warrant spending the kind of cash it would take to make this happen though. I say bleh to 7th gen VTEC.

grey is right... it really doesn't make all that much difference since it's FI... besides.. LX runs slightly lower compression which allows more boost... so if i had to answer your question, i'd probably say to stick with your LX head and ECU if you were going to turbo.. then again it really doesn't matter again cause of our POS PLASTIC intake manifolds.. oh well... LX PRIDE BABY!!!

I thought so too. But he never got back to me.

I have an LX auto also. And I wanted to know more about the turbos that are being made for our 7th Gens.
