Another D17A2 Swap Thread
Hi,
Have read several of the D17a2 swap threads below, looking for a few additional comments.
02 civic ex, manual. I am decent mechanic, but will be hiring a friend who is a professional to do this. Looking for easiest replacement possible, not concerned about the gain or loss of a few horsepower.
First, I see comments about buying from a junkyard vs an online used engine. As yet, I have not found a local engine at the junkyard. Most don't seem to have something that old.
Is there an advantage buying online from a company that has checked the engine? Currently looking at JDMSource out of canada http://www.jdmsource.ca/products.php...a-vtec&cPath=5
Comments on them or recommendations on other sources for engines? I am in SE Tennessee.
Is this as simple as unplugging the old and plug in the new?
