turbo D17?
I have a 2001 civic ex coupe. i was thinking about putting a turbo on it. i would bbuild a custom one my self and would be running around 6psi. the thing i want to know is will this wreck my engine. it has 90,000 miles on it and i want it to last til at least 150000. would putting a turbo on be a good idea? i also want to know if i would get a turbo do i have to do anything with the fuel system and do i have to get 91 gas?

i could see maybe at 70k or 60k but 90 is just wow its not going to make your engen last any longer but it does not have that bad of an effect unless you are running higher boost for daily driving.

I have 91,000 miles. Yesterday I received my turbo, manifold and wastegate. Today the other half comes, next week it will be completely on and running.
Get your car tuned, dont turn up the boost, I think you'll be fine. And if not, You can get another stock motor, boost that, and while you have the blown motor, keep it to fix it up to handle the boost.
Thats my plan. My car runs better than new it seems. Awesome gasmileage, quiet idle, very smooth shifts, engine is clean as hell as well. As long as you had your regular maintenance done on time, you should be fine. I plan to get another 30,000 at least out of this motor, but we'll see.
Hope this helped
Peace

yeah get 91 gas, and I really think my motor will last to 150, I just said 120 to be extra safe. Do it all right and get tuned. Cant stress the tuning enough, or you could blow in a day or two.
