04 Si EP3 - Removing Front Passenger Seat

Hey, me again. Looking to remove my front passenger seat on my 2004 Civic Si EP3. Simple enough, but my issue is two: the occupant sensor and the airbag(???).
By airbag I mean the yellow "airbag style" connector(s) under the seat. IIRC there are two of them. Maybe one though. However, my model+year doesn't appear to have seat srs airbags. What are these for? I'm assuming airbags and, if so, will just put a 2.2ohm resistor in the socket.

Next is the passenger occupant sensor/weight sensor. I have no clue what to do here. Just straight jump the pins on the connector?

My goal is to not have the SRS light come on. If it does come on, will it turn itself off once the issues are resolved similar to the abs system?

Are you replacing the seats with aftermarket?

Seat belt latch has a switch inside. Looks like when the circuit is open, it thinks the buckle is latched.

Re: 04 Si EP3 - Removing Front Passenger Seat

To answer both questions, I'm going to be temporarily living in my car for 2 months or so due to a series of unfortunate events. I desperately need that extra room to get into the back seats to sleep without crawling awkwardly behind the passenger front seat. I also would like to use it's space to place a small foldable table for laptop use.

I will be the only person in the car for the 2 month period and afterwards plan to put the seat back in.

Not set on doing this, just mostly asking about how plausible/possible it is without risk. I did call my insurance company and they had to call a manager(lol) but I was told it shouldn't be an issue.

Re: 04 Si EP3 - Removing Front Passenger Seat

I am sorry to hear that. Hope things get better soon.

From the schematic, I would guess the SRS unit either needs to see ground on pin 2 (unbuckled) or pin 3 (buckled) at all times, otherwise throw a fault. Those pin numbers are at the seat connector. What you could do is put a jumper from pin 1 to one of the others. Passenger airbag likely armed if it sees the passenger seat buckled.
