2001 seats not as stiff as previous generation
I have been back to my HONDA dealership to get them to deal with the "wiggle" that the front seat has. After replacing the front seat and tracks the problem still existed. After sitting in other civics on the lot I noticed that all the seat have a slight wiggle. So basically I have to accept it. Has anyone else noticed the slight wiggle?

YOU DON'T HAVE TO EXCEPT SH___T. DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS.
THERE IS A TSB ABOUT THE SEAT ROCKING PROBLEM. HAVE YOUR DEALERSHIP FIX THE PROBLEM AND TELL THEM ABOUT THE TSB.
THE MAJOR PROBLEM ABOUT THE DRIVER'S SEAT IS THE BUSHING. SOME STUPID MECHANICAL ENGINEER FORGOT HOW INERTIA WORKS AND SPECIFIED THE WRONG BUSHINGS.
DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS. HAVE THEM FIX THE DAMN CAR PROPERLY. THE SEAT ROCKING IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. TAKE THAT CAR BACK AND HAVE THOSE A___HOLES FIX IT CORRECTLY.

A few people here have had that problem and I think a few of them did get it fixed, but I wouldn't say that everybody has it. There should be a couple of existing threads on this problem...
BTW, let's go easy on the CAPS ...

You go back and bitch. That is what I did. The third time I went was the charm. They replaced the whole seat frame. Now no more rocking.

I have been back three times. For new bushings, a new seat track and a new seat back. Still it rocks. it's annoying especially when you hit the brake because the car stops and then you feel the seat slide or rock .I know I'm not crazy because the passanger seat is rock solid. Last time I went they basically told me I'm stuck with it. At this point i don't know what to do.

Here is what you do! Tell the sons_of_ b........ches that you want to talk to the rep manager. Speak to the general manager of the Honda dealership. Just don't give up. A seat rocking issue is serious. Tell them that you are looking into the lemon law.
Call up Honda. Don't settle for what they are saying. Honda must know that if they put out crappy seats that they are responsible for it. Think of it this way. You are taking your life into your own hands.
Also try another dealership.
Don't wuss out. Play hard ball. Don't let them take advantage of you.

Just go back. Tell them you will call the service dept's manager manager. If not that, tell them you will call the district manager. The seat should NOT rock. It is a safety issue. They sell you are car, and they the dealer wont stand behind what they sell. If not call the Better Business Buearu.
