Green key flashing

You will know if you can jump across the solenoid. I had a Chevy and a Ford truck both do that. The Ford was easy to diagnose, the solenoid was separate from the starter on the firewall but on the honda its right with the starter on the left side of the engine. With the air breather apparatus off its easy to see and access.
I have the same problem, apparently this is a big issue with these cars and quite annoying. I replaced my starter and tested it, the solenoid is good. The green key is solid and goes after a few seconds. After i take the key out it blinks 5 times. Sometimes the car starts and intermittently it doesn't. I noticed it happens the most when outside temperatures are hot but it has it happened at night when its cooler as well. When this issue happens there is no crank at all but i hear a click from the relay and low hum sound. Brand new battery (tested), brand new alternator, replaced the black relay behind the glove box (03 Civic LX Coupe). I get the car to start after letting it sit for awhile and sometimes by tapping the relay behind the glove box (doesn't always work). Any ideas?

It depends when its flashing. From what i understand if its continually flashing while the key is in that is an issue.

Green key flashing while trying to start is an immobilizer issue. Full stop.
Take it to the dealer.

Yea but my green key is not flashing when trying to start and I get no crank (i think immobilizer issue still gets crank). See my post above. What do you think the issue could be?
