hi there, so after putting my subframe back in i must have put the washer on the wrong side of this bolt, can i just undo that bolt and try and pry the washer out so i can put it on the other side and then check the tightness of the main 4 subframe bolts or will that throw off the suspension or something? i really hope i dont have to take the subframe out as i noticed this on the final check before i start and drive the car the one where i believe the washer is in the wrong spot the other side (right side) where i believe i got it right
see the darker mark where you don't have dirty?
that's where the washer used to be. so wrong side.
I would fix that...
Yes yes of course but I'm asking if I have to drop the whole subframe or if I can undo the bolt, then try and slide the washer out with a screwdriver or something as I imagine it could be in there tight, I reckon I could do that but would that minor adjustment mess with the alignment of the subframe or suspension?
That bolts to a bracket, that bracket bolts to the "frame". Can't you just loosen the two bolts holding that bracket to the body to get the washer out?

in retrospect I probably could have, however, the washer was being a real pain and getting jammed on the bolt, stopping me from removing it, so I dropped the subframe low enough to the point where the washer would clear it, although I probably could have tried to remove the bracket from the body first, would have saved me a fair bit of time haha
