strut noise
I just purchased a 2002 honda civic. the struts have been changed out by the previous owner. It has a noise or knock sound in it when you are going down the road or hit bumps.. is there some type of bearing on the top of the strut that could be causing that issue ? Thanks, Ronnie

Top mount, or the spring is not correctly indexed

could be control arm bushings or ball joints as well.
need to jack the car up and start wiggling things to see whats loose
