Re: Break lines

Should be 3/16" line with 10mm double bubble. Use copper-nickel line

Re: Break lines

We replaced the lines on a civic 2003 DX. The flares were referred to as bubble flares. We replaced the sections going to the proportioner. These sections were corroded. When we ran two new rear lines from the proportioner to join the two rear steel brake lines we had a problem. The flare tool would not flare the metal line adequately. I bought a Titan tool 51535. This tool does double inverted flares. So these joints/ unions were double inverted flares. The other end of the nickel copper brake line was bubble flared and attached to the proportioner.. In an effort to proceed quickly we cut the lines from the proportioner. We ran into a small problem in that we could not recall routing or placement of the M1 or M2 lines in relation to the master cylinder. As it was the M1 goes to what some diagrams call the circuit 1 side. The side without the protruding push rod. I verified this by going to the wreckers, I have photos I can upload.
