03 civic brake cylinder

Hi,

I was trying to change my brake shoes on my 03 civic and somehow the one of the piston's poped out of the brake cylinder. i also noticed a spring fell out too.

My question is: is my wheel cylinder screwed? and does that srping go inside the cylinder? the rubber boot is not ripped i put it back on, but is the system messed up?

some oil leaked out, i put everything back together but now my brake pedal is soft and lower then usual.

Advice please?
