Rear Drum and shoes size ???

I have a 2004 Honda Civic. One of the rear wheel/brake cylinders is leaking and when I replace it I want to replace the brake shoes also. But, they are listing two sizes of shoes for my Honda: 1.38 x 7.87" and 1.4 x 8.66". Using the Honda site it says I need part number 43153-S5A-A01 for brake shoes, but I can't seem to locate whether they the 7.87" or 8.66" shoes. I'm going to be getting all my parts at either Autozone or AdvanceAuto, but they can't tell me which size I need without bringing the drum in (called both). I just had the rear tires and hubs off, and I can pull one again, BUT I'm hoping someone may be able to tell me which I need so I don't have to pull them again.

Thanks

I didn't know there were different sizes until now. You could just buy both sizes and return whichever one you don't use.

I didn't know either. But, I replaced the rear wheel/brake cylinders and mine the 7.87" inner diameter hubs.

Next, after a break for a few minutes, I'm going to clean up and lube the front drivers side caliper that is wearing one pad much quicker than the other. Hopefully it works, if not new caliper time I guess.

Check the caliper guide pins, if one has seized it could be causing issues. They should move freely in and out of the caliper bracket.

Re: Rear Drum and shoes size ???

Sure will, thanks for the tip.
I've been having fun the last couple days. It all started with checking the pads and rotating the tires. This is the first time since buying new tires that I've removed the rear tires. Had one stud on each side cross threaded. One side just stripped out and I cut it off. The other side just snapped the stud trying to remove it. So, replaced those two studs and while doing that noticed one of the wheel/brake cylinders was leaking - so, replaced those. Also, noticed the one front pad warn a lot more, so... Happens I guess...
