Shaking Brakes
Shaking Brakes
I know what you're about to tell me: rotors. I know. I have stock rotors on my car and they've never been replaced, but I have had 2-3 brake pad replacements since I bought the car with 3k miles on it. It's now at 67k, and my question is this:
They aren't warped terribly. Last time I was at the mechanic he told me that a little wobble could be machined out. My last brake service was 5k ago... would higher performance rotors cure my ailment? I've heard people have this problem regardless.
Is changing my driving habits the only way? That CAN'T be ='(.

Re: Shaking Brakes
mm.. just replace your rotors with stock ones.. high performance rotors are nice, and unless you have a high performance add-ons there really isn't a point on spending more to get them. An easy way to see if your rotors are wobbly is to look at your brake pads and if they are wearing unevenly than its cause your rotors.. a common reason rotors get wobbly are wheels aren't torqued to spec. Well good luck!
