Ghetto Brakes Make Grind When ABS
Ghetto Brakes Make Grind When ABS
The other night I slammed on brakes in order to avoid an accident. While slamming on brakes, I could feel and hear in my front right brake and it was grinding against the metal. This has happen before when i got the car about 7 months ago when I was going a slow speed and hit a bump. Is this safe. The brakes on the front have like 6,000 miles if that on them. If anyone has or knows of a solution for this problem PLEASE help. Thanks..... Oh Yeah.... it's a 2001 Honda Civic Coupe with 77,777 miles on it. It is an EX so I have ABS but the light did not cut on or hasen't cut on so I don't know if it is the problem.

It sounds like what you heard was ABS kicking in, its a weird sound/feel. But if its the exact same as what happened 7 months ago when you hit a bump, then I dunno. I find it kinda strange you had six 7's in your post and your breaks have about 6,000 miles on them... maybe they have 7k? Then you'd have seven 7's and you should be the luckiest car on the road then! Maybe the sound is the civic Gods coming down and saving you from accidents!!
