I have no idea if my transmission is in danger or if it is damaged, I don't feel anything or hear anything when shifting, so I don't think anything has happened yet but I got underneath the car and saw basically the whole transmission was covered in fluid.
I wiped it up previous to the pictures.. I definitely should have taken them first.
My main question, Are the gaps in transmission shown in the photos supposed to be there?
I think it may be cracked yes.
I was talking about the gap on the last photo. Is it suppose to be that big? And there is ATF leaking from the bottom right where that small piece is connected up to the transmission.

Re: Help! Is my transmission damaged?!
The cracks in the first and second photos look like they might be a problem, or they might just be casting marks. Is it actively dripping or is it just wet? Have you checked your fluid level?

That is just a cover for the gear shifter I think. It's supposed to be like that.

It is not dripping as of currently. I am low on transmission fluid and thats why I came under the car to look. I did some research about the leak and could it possibly be the shift lever seal? I have an automatic so I don't know if I even have one since I only see videos for manual transmissions. It seems like the leak would be in the same spot as there is that cover you can remove .
as for the cracks/casting marks, it may actually just be casting marks but I am still not sure. I felt it and it is somewhat sharp but I do not see any fluid at all or a crack past what I see on the surface
The cover is attached with those two bolts, And it appears it is leaking from the seal in the middle as well as that gap(possibly) on the right side that has a rock stuck in it lmfao
