Hello, i have a 03 civic ex coupe, 5 speed manual trans. So recently after shifting into 2nd gear (up shift or down shift) when you let up on accelerator, it will pop out of gear. If you try to hold it, it will grind a little and eventually end up in neutral. Also should mention sometimes grinds attempting to go into gear and a double clutch and then goes in. 3rd gear is basically the same and so I've been going from 2nd to 4th and just skipping 3rd all together. 4th is the only gear it will stay in. 5th does the same. Pops out when not accelerating. Sometimes i think im in reverse and start to let the clutch out and nothing happens, then i will have to forcefully get it into neutral then i can get reverse. Any help is much appreciated.

Check the cables, check the shifter, disconnect the cables from the trans and see if you can engage all the gears on the trans.
And check fluid level and condition of the trans
