Transmission Lines -- Which is the Return
Transmission Lines -- Which is the Return
Does anyone know definitively which is the return line on the BMXA automatic transmission. The internet is all over the place. The transmission cooler places say the "one nearest the differential" which I assume would mean the driver's side line, since its banjo bolt is right over the differential. Still, other post say its the line on the passenger side. Then you have the "right" or "left" line posts without reference to the orientation they're talking about.
I want to install an inline filter an cooler and I'd like to get them on the return line. Thanks.

Re: Transmission Lines -- Which is the Return
Could pop one off and then start the car and shut it back off immediately, the one that didn't spray fluid is the return, won't hurt anything as long as you're quick
Re: Transmission Lines -- Which is the Return
I'll put this out there for the next guy: The return line is on the driver's side. It is the longer of the two hard lines that runs into the banjo fitting near the differential. Despite what the interweb has to say in several places, the line on the passenger side of the transmission (the shorter hard line) is the pressure line.
