2005 auto trans reliable?
theres one posted for sale with 150k and wanted to know how reliable civics were overall at this point. i know their auto trans were problematic in earlier years so just wanted to know the situation with this year.

Indeed they updated the transmission to last reliably past 100k miles with a couple of drain and fill maintenances.
Not trying to be unhelpful, just no way to predict how much time is left.
My motto is , it’s highly unlikely someone is selling the car unless it has a overheating issue or a transmission issue.
Everything else is cheap enough to fix, and why would you get rid of a perfectly running dependable car?
Be sure to get even the most basic OBD reader that can check for emissions readiness. That’s a sure sign if they just unplugged the battery before you got there to clear the codes.
