hi im looking at purchasing a 2003 civic sport but i noticed as im decelerating in first gear there is a fairly audible whine that follows the rpm down and only on deceleration. some friends say this is normal in these years of civic but my 2000 didnt make the noise. it has 240,000 km on it so around 150,000 miles. any input here would be appreciated

if a compareable car does not make the same noise then i would not consider it to be normal
