01 EX manual shift popping out of fifth gear

Have an 01 EX (Canadian SI) 5 speed manual, has recently started popping out of 5th gear on the highway. I have read that this is a common problem. I was just wondering if there is a better year manual trans that I could put in instead of another 01 to fix the issue. Thanks.

See if the trans is low on fluid.
How old is the fluid?
I've heard both issues can cause weird problems like that.

Change the fluid and see if that helps anything. If it helps, then that was far cheaper and easier than trying to replace the gearbox.
