Possible axle or bearing failure?
Possible axle or bearing failure?
As most of you probably don't know, I am a full time college student. I barely ever drive the car anymore and for the most part, it sits outside, exposed to the elements. Enough of my life story...
I noticed today that I am getting a slight squeeling sound from the front left side of my civic. I check to see if the wheels were loose, fluids fine etc and everything looks fine. It only does this when I accelerate (mostly I hear it in first gear. I have an 01 Civic EX Coupe Auto. Could I possibly have an axle going bad or a loose bearing? I have been having nothing but problems with this car for some time....
Bent rim,rocking seat, now this.
I am hoping someone on here has experienced what I am talking about and have any idea on how to fix it. Any possible answers would be apppreciated!
You all are great...
Thanks,
Brian

Posibly a CV joint...It's cheaper to replace the whole axle rather that just the CV joint...aka the rubber thing conecting to the hub. Also you might have some break sensor rubbing from your pads...Are they worn down? If so your break pads have metal on them to let you know you need pads (the squeek)
