Hi,

my 1.7cdti civic glow plug light remains on.

During start it extinguishes as normal but after a couple of seconds it comes back on (steady light) and remains. It clearly detects an anomaly but having difficulty to determine the cause.

Been to my local garage and the Honda dealer but diagnostics reading doesn’t give any info. There is no fault code whatsoever.

Honda can investigate further they say but can be 30 minutes or 10 hrs (car not worth that money).

Relais checked, glow sticks checked, several full resets done but no luck.

Any help welcome

I'm not seeing anything in the service manual I have for the glow plug light staying on. Most of us are from the Americas, we didn't get a diesel model.
