Hey guys, I’m thinking on upgrading my car security system on my 7th gen civic. I have a viper security system and I want to get something new because my remote is broken. Is it difficult to have it done myself.?

It’s not difficult if you know how to wire things. Replace the remote. I’d get another Viper so it’s more plug n play.

yeah but I want to upgrade to a remote start type system. The sun is crazy here in Tx. 110 120 degree. And I would like it to start the car when it’s cold so the glasses can be defrost before I get in and drive. I almost had an accident last year because it was cold and wipe the windshield but they just got white in the space of seconds and I can’t afford that again.

ok, true. I just want to get some advice so I don’t mess up and cause fire or issues with the system later.
