2003 honda civic

Okay so here's the thing , I have a 2003 honda civic ex ..... 1.7 it needed a new head gasket, no problem right.... got done with that... started the car... ran fine for like 20 minutes, got ready to give it a test drive, ... ( it's been running fine up till now).. put the car in drive, and it just died , would not restart, after a bit of looking at it I pulled out my code reader.... could not get it to read anything. .. it was saying like, not detected or something like that, weird thing is,.. it won't start, right? Well with the code reader plugged in... I tryed to start it... and it worked... but it will not start without it plugged in... I think I have a bad ecm/ ecu witch ever you call it... anybody have any idea if I can do anything about it besides put a new computer in it..

Re: 2003 honda civic

Definitely not. .. I made sure it was tight because the belt had been squalling a bit before I did the head gasket.

Both of the grounds?

Not the large braided cable....The other one next to it with a bolt and two small wires------ is the major ground for the PCM and most everything it controls, and goes to the data link connector
It's kinda hidden by the huge black air box if it's all stock
