2004 sedan EX fuel smell under the hood no visible leaks

So I bought this 2004 civic sedan ex from someone I know, it has a 1.7l vteck, 150k mikes now, its a 5 speed. I paid $700 for it and made it as a reliable back up car for the wife and I. I have OCD and ADD so I went through the whole car and pretty much replaced everything that was needed or safety. Pulled the engine ans trans, found out the kid overheated the engine, so i had to get a new head, water pump/timing kit. Upgraded the rad to a aluminum two core. So long story to make short, I rebuilt from the tires up, literally everything got done or i went through it, something like around 5k in parts, not including my labor. So in the summer time after driving the car and you park it, you can smell gas. It smells like its coming from the engine bay, but I dont see any leaks, my fancy scanner doesn't come up with codes for like an evap. Not sure if anyone else has had a simular problem with their car. My gas milage doesnt seem to change, but then again this car in now to me, maybe like 6 months. The person I bought it from said that when he sold it to some one else before me and then he bought it back a year later and sold it to me casue the kid didn't know how to fix anything. But he remember that the car had the same fuel smell when he sold it the first time, I just cant figure out where the smell us comeing from, any help would be greatly appreciated. Now thats its winter here I dont really smell it know.

I had that problem with my 2004 EX but I found it to be coming from inside, from under the back seat.

It was either the fuel pump or the seal around the edge of the pump. I don't remember. I no longer have the car.
