So I've already been at the fuel injector reinstall project for much longer than expected/wanted.
Basically I have everything 90% in place. On a 2002 Civic EX. Two of the clips on the fuel injectors are not seating properly (So I think I'm 1/16 of an inch or less away from the injector fully seating in the rail.)
I'm wondering for an opinion from the forum if I'd be crazy to try to run it this way. Like I know the safety clips are there for a reason but I don't see where the fuel injector could possibly go... Unless of course the hold down nut rattles loose and the rail pops up.
Like I've said I've already been at this for close to 2 days. I've had it in and out. I wasn't able to install the injectors in the rail first. When I tried it that way it seemed like no way no how they were going to seat in it manifold ports.
So I installed all of the injectors individually in the manifold and now the fuel rail on top. Like I said two are good to go, two No luck. The clip is in place, But slightly wonky and not seating into its groove on the rail and injector. I'm running out of ideas!
Of course I hate the idea of running it this way without it proper but not sure what else to try at this point....
Fuel pressure is 40 to 47 psi. Again just looking for opinions on if running it this way is a slight risk, medium risk or what the hell are you thinking risk.
