2005 Civic Hybid throwing P2000 code
I had a MIL pop up on my 05 Civic Hybrid yesterday, and when I read the code today it came up as P2000 "NOx adsorptive catalyst efficiency below threshold
Digging around online, I found two Honda service bulletins that seem like they could apply:
Thanks!
Digging around online, I found two Honda service bulletins that seem like they could apply:
- https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...42649-3282.pdf
- What's the difference between these service bulletins?
- Does the 2011 bulletin supersede the 2007 bulletin (meaning I can just do the update mentioned in the 2011 bulletin)?
- What exactly is PGM-FI software?
- Can I update it myself, or would it have to be at a shop or dealership?
Thanks!

- The difference is one is specific to a set of VINs, the other is for all. Other than that, who knows.
- If the 2011 bulletin includes your VIN, probably.
- PGM-FI stands for programmed fuel injection. Referring to the ECU/PCM software.
- Dealership is going to be the only ones with access. Unless you have a generic auto shop with all the Honda specific tools.

If it really is a bad O2 sensor, how do I tell which one? My understanding (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) is that if the code is for catalyst efficiency then it would be a post-cat sensor. But which one would be bank 1 on this car?
