I have a 2005 Honda Civic LX 4dr Automatic with about 110k miles on it. Have owned it since 10k miles.
The check engine light has been on for a while and it is time for emissions. The code I have is P1457.
It was recommended to me by a shop that I get a smoke test done, but thats costing me around $90 so I'd rather see if I can get it fixed.
Can anyone help me of what the most common causes are for this code and the most common fixes (replacement parts)? I would like to get it fixed right and get the code cleared.
Also, if you could recommend where is the best and most economical place to get the parts.
Thanks!

Thanks! Did you use an aftermarket part or a genuine honda part?
I am on rockauto and I see: Vapor Canister, Vapor Canister Purge Valve, and Vapor Canister Vent Valve. Which one is the one you said you replaced?
Thanks for your help!

not sure of the exact name, but there is only one valve attached to the cannister bottle, so thats the one,
