Civic is losing power and acceleration [solved]
Just did a tranny swap and timing belt replacement, car was running fine then all of a sudden the car is acting like it's not wanting to go over 3k rpm unless forced but feels bigger down when pushed harder. I have a recording on my drive of the diagnostics but it's Greek to me and I was wondering if anyone could glean any info from it. I can check stuff las posted. This is my only vehicle for work and I'm depending on it hard.

re: Civic is losing power and acceleration [solved]
Unfortunately no check engine light, I verified TDC on correct turn of the crank but "IF" the tensioner wasn't fully engaged it would possibly make it slip a tooth or so, but I replaced the belt because it had advanced one tooth initially and that was enough for it the computer to shut the car down, so if the timing not being correct was the culprit wouldn't it in turn behave the same way as before the replacement (start, stutter, stall). If the timing was off wouldn't it possibly give an invalid read against the crank and cam sensor and throw a code?

I'm thinking it definitely has to be mechanical but not sensor recognizable since no code is being thrown, it doesn't really act up until shifting into 3rd gear, I'm hoping this tranny isn't acting up but the transmission wouldn't explain the limited rpms at least not without a code to tell it to go into limp mode right?

Wow **** complete oversight, me being an idiot trusted the ****ing guy at the dealership, put an extra quart too much oil, gonna see if I drain some if the problem persists hope I didn't do any permanent damage... I hope this is the issue

No worries, it happens. We've all had weird car issues that turned out to be something simple and obvious in hindsight.
