Removing old IAT sensor do I just force it out?

I need to replace the IAT sensor on my 2001 stock air intake. Looks like there is some kind of grommet holding it into the air filter box. I pulled it around a bit but it didn't budge much. Do I just need to pull the old one out by force?

Should come out with a bit of coercing. It's literally just friction fit by the rubber grommet, and a little bumps of sorts to keep it in place. Carefully wiggle the hell out of it while pulling and it should come out

Here's what the sensor looks like, so you know what you're working with:
