looking for mass air flow sensor

I'm looking to find the maf on a 2000 Honda Civic, and any helpful tips on cleaning or repalcing the sensor. I think it has 2 star screws going into back of the carburator with a plug/cable running from the sensor to the air filter housing. Any info is appreciated.

Re: looking for mass air flow sensor

Well, as far as I know, there is no mass air flow sensor on the civic, there is only an air temp sensor.

Re: looking for mass air flow sensor

That is correct there is no MAF sesor but there is a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor which is probably what you're thinking about. There's no carburator either so I'm guessing you're talking about the throttle body. Generally, they don't need cleaning but all you might do is un screw it, blow some pressurized air in it, replace the o-ring, and screw it back on.
