Piston rings
So i got all my parts together to start working on my engine but i need to the piston ring gap clearance. I lend someone my service manual and i got it back yet. I'm using hasting rings so does it make a difference which brand rings i use? the stock Ring gap be the same?
and my engine is a D17A2,1.7L, 4cyl.

As long as the rings are the same material as the OEM the gap should be the same. Usually the rings tell you what to gap them to. You can download the service manual for free.
