So i have this problem with how the fuel reads. At times it reads high and sometimes low. I changed fuel pump sending unit from the junk yard twice but the problem still there. Could it be the all the 7th gen fuel pump sending unit go bad over years.? Should i just buy a new one instead?or what could causing the problem.?
To be honest, I'm not sure what you really talking about.. When you said teed before the fuel rail what do you mean? I just get the whole fuel pump assembly from The junkyard and replaced it with mine. If something should be done to it before i put it my gas tank, how i go about doing that?
Not completely empty or full but a little lower and higher. Sometimes i will start the car and the needle will show you half of a tank and a few minutes later while driving it rise a little above half a tank or it will drop lower even before you drive 3 or 4 miles. And sometimes when i speed up and push the the car to its limit it will rise high or it will drop low it just keep doing it. I changed out the complete fuel assembly from inside the tank twice now and it still give the same reading. I dont if its the fuel gauge thats in the dashboard neeed to be changed since i changed the unit in the tank twice and it dont make a difference. Whats your opinion?
I believe there is a cluster self diagnostic test but I can't find anything in the service manual. Below are directions for the RSX which is hopefully the same. If so the gauges should sweep from minimum to maximum and then back. This would rule out the cluster having an issue.

Ok, so here are two pictures of my gas gauge cluster. The picture with the one with needle almost on half a tank is the one i took last after i made it home. The other one is the one took it before i leave work. If you can see the difference in between and i only drove less than a mile from work and the same to work.. I remember a few months ago i was doing an idle relearn so the engine was running but i w low on gas to. While the engine running the red light came indicating me that i need gas so while driving to the gas station ,the went from empty to just about the bottom mark. Thats how it operate. Before it started giving this bad readin, when i
full up my tank, it would go over the that top stroke and i could drive for a week before it dropped to that full stoke. Now its giving all these bad reading.
I did the test and all the needls move from bottom to top and down again. If that test was fine, why I'm getting this bad reading from the gas gauge? It wasn't like that before so whats the problem?

Reason: More information
If the cluster is testing okay that would point to an issue with the fuel sending unit. Maybe something with the float assembly is sticking?
so, to make sure i get you correctly. you saying that the fact that the test was okay with the all the needles including the gas gauge moving from bottom to top and settle back to the bottom as they should, the fuel pump sending unit still need to be replaced right?
Due to the fact that the fuel gauge correctly swept up and then back down during the self diagnostics it would indicate that the issue is with the fuel sending unit which the float is a part of. Below is all the troubleshooting for the fuel sending unit.
Another option is to just ignore it. It seems to give a somewhat close reading, using that and trip mileage you should be able to figure out how much fuel you have left.
