Hey guys i’m kind of new to the forum just to let you know. I have some knowledge working on cars like the basic replace filters change out manifolds and stuff but engine wise (opening head, adjusting valves etc) im not so inclined to do. So here we go I have a problem on my 02 civic lx (non vtec (() and it has a metal like rattle when i let off the throttle to shift (manual tranny). It happens around 2k rpm and up and it scares me so I dont go higher than 3k rpm to shift. It sounds like its coming from the front left side of the engine bay, and I can feel the vibration through the pedals. Im hoping its not rod knocking. Its a very faint but noticeable rattle usually music drowns it out but if u mute the music its audible even with road noise. Hope I can fix it with your guys’ help. College student and this is my first car so budget wise i kinda struggle hopefully its an easy fix.

I also replaced the exhaust manifold catalytic converter part thinking it was that and unfortunately it was not.

I checked it a while ago and yes my front engine mount is F ed up. Ordered a new one and hopefully that is my rattling problem. Still hoping its not a rod bearing or pinging. Im not saying hello to any rod that wants to stick out my block lol.
