Have recently purchased a 2001 Honda civic lx auto trans. All seems to run well but don't what is common for rpm at highway speeds rpm shows at 60 mph at 2200 to 2300 wondering what is normal it has 1.7 engine noise inside sounds like a very loud bumble bee anybody please let this old man know what should be the proper rpm or is that close thanks

The RPM is about normal, you can't change its gearing anyway.
It's a small 4 cylinder. It has to make up for its lack of torque with higher RPM.
The noise?
I can't hear a darn thing from here but my TV set.
Could be anything.
Wheel bearing, choppy tire tread, exhaust, etc.
Have a pro give it a test drive for an opinion or an evaluation. Then you may need to do a little checking.
