Head Gasket - reassembly - RTV and thread lock??
Head Gasket - reassembly - RTV and thread lock??
Hi All,
Other than the minor spots on the valve cover gasket, it doesn't appear any RTV (Hondabond) or thread lock is being used anywhere. Can anyone confirm that for me??
Thanks!

Correct, just get the mating surfaces nice and level. They dont need to be spotless just flat and smooth. As for the Head bolts they don't need to be replaced if they are the original. Stock head bolts don't stretch.

Gus is correct about the head bolts. You can reuse them and many people have.

I didn't see any mention of it, but I just wanted to check with those of you who have tackled this in case there have been any lessons learned. Thanks!
