As the Honda dealer no longer stocks head gaskets, what brand should I use for best results and WHERE can I find it?? This is a rebuilt engine that has blown head gaskets in the past. Now has head and block been trued.

www.hondaautomotiveparts.com just get the oem one, its $43. be sure to check the old head for warpage and have it milled otherwise you will blow the new gasket too. just take it to a machine shop and tell them to inspect it.

Gearbox: Head has been milled as has the block. This unit blew head gasket 3 different times .. last one AFTER the head was milled. We did NOT use new head bolts which some say must be done. Comments?? Radiator is good as is all circulation and water pump.

oh yes new head bolts are required. expensive, but the old bolts cannot be reused. also there is a very precise tightening and multiple torque sequence for those bolts, and if you hear any squeaking sound when they are going in, you have to take all the bolts off and start over again. if your car has chronic gasket blowing issues, you may even want to see if they make upgraded head STUDS for your car and buy those too. like the arp studs.
