Suggestion needed, Oil leaking:Replace valve cover gasket and thermostat housing

Hello,
I notice the oil on the ground today, and open the hood, notice the oil on the left side and at bottom. I checked coolant, lower than "min" and I filled it up. Then I check the engine oil level, seems ok. It seems like the oil is spay from center, but mainly toward left.
Here is the picture: https://imgur.com/a/ejLs4n9

went to a shop, they inspect it for a few minutes and said both oil and coolant are leaking. need to replace the valve cover gasket ($100 parts+$100 labor) and thermostat housing ($50 part + $100 labor). I prefer to get parts from dealer (but let them keep the profit for the parts, shop don't allow.

Question:
1) is it diy work or it's better to let mechanic to work on it?
2) does dealer part matter that much?

Thank you!

DIY for sure, and yes buy the parts from Honda, many of the aftermarket valve gaskets kind of fit but not really.

-Thermostat housing
