oil found on the left side and bottom
oil found on the left side and bottom
Hello, I hope you can help me triage the issue.
I notice the oil on the ground today, and open the hood, notice the oil on the left side and at bottom. I check the engine oil level, seems ok. It seems like the oil is spay from middle (not from the top of engine).

Note: I went to dealer changing oil almost 6 months ago, and I noticed oil drip on the ground, and open hood found similar oil (all over the places, including on the top of engine), went back, and they said it's because technician spoil the oil from the top. And they just clean it up and send me away. I din't notice oil drip on the ground until today.
Any insight, where the oil come from?
Thanks a ton!

Most of that looks pretty old, I would guess VTEC solenoid gaskets, there's 2 of them

Thank you Colin42.
is it possible the oil filter loose up, and just need to tighten a little bit?
if it's gasket, is it diy job, or it's better to go to mechanic? what ballpark of cost to fix it ?
and is this urgent thing to fix?
Thanks again!

You can check but I doubt it, would be pretty simple to diy, just a couple bolts/screws and an electrical connection.
and as long as you maintain the proper oil level you can wait a bit to repair it
